Don’t break your brand with fake strategy

Your search for “personal brand” in Google gets you at least the top 10 publications with the subject “Personal brand on Instagram”. I believe that the development of the personal brand is not about the number of “likes” and followers on social media. It does not work for your brand awareness. You need a bigger picture.

Let us look at what does the personal brand consist of and how to develop it but no copy other people. Sounds like to the moon and back? It is not.

Austin Kleon in his book “Steal Like an Artist” said: “Draw the art you want to see, start the business you want to run, play the music you want to hear, write the books you want to read, build the products you want to use — do the work you want to see done” So all your actions based on your person. Let`s check what else is needed.

A personality is the basis of the personal brand. That is how you work on yourself, your personal qualities, and your attitude. No wonder that this is a long way to go.

We are in social connections with each other. Now I am saying about the number of people you know and communicate with, including social connections. Do not bring all efforts just to increase your social capital. Your brand is more than just it. I will show it and you must believe it.

So, what you need:

- Strong personality with stable positioning and roles that other people know and understand

- An emotion that reflects your brand.

A successor’s experience could not be yours because there is a lifetime of another person. You cannot just copy it. You will not win if you dare to make it — fake does not bring you to the conqueror of the world. Of course, you can consider other`s experiences, look at their activities, guess about social media algorithms but for what? In the end, you get a fake image, no one accepts you and you will be disappointed totally. There is another way.

You are a personality and you are the brand already. You have your character, skills, lifetime experience, and features of the nervous system. These are fundamentals.

Let`s do more.

1. Define your goal Why do you need this way? What is the outcome and when you want to get it? So, look at your road map and navigate it.

2. Create a unique proposal. You can use questions. What do you like to do? What do you do the best? What does your target audience expect from you? 3. Be realistic and access your resources. You can be inspired by the most popular YouTube coach, but it is not enough for reaching your goal. Think twice before accepting this type of race. You will need a long-term strategy and tons of effort. May be years. Do you think you will be inspired when you come to this conclusion? There is another door. Your brand and you have it as a person, so you need to work on it and do it every day.

4. Communication channels. Do you know where and how you speak with your target audience? Not yet? Check 5 steps we developed as a tactic plan.

5. Look at your favorites — people with a strong personal brand. They do have one thing in common. An individual personality in everyone. This is their power. Just remember, during the lockdown we see Robbie Williams singing in the bad every day and keeping our good mood. There were millions of views. He caught our attention and heart not because he is a superstar but with his care and openness. We believed him and his brand. So, please, do not make fake things do not use fake tools for your development. There is no value.

Only true intention leads to action.

You are the brand. Don’t copy, be yourself and build your personal brand foundaition.
